Dear La Merced Moose Family,
I apologize for the late delivery of this letter to all of you. I needed a little time to put my thoughts and feelings into words to some VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE.
On April 24th, The LOOM and WOTM graciously held a Benefit Dinner in my honor to assist me with expenses for my cancer treatments and the unexpected loss of my job due to downsizing. The turnout was so amazing! The meal was fabulous!
I joined the WOTM of La Merced Lodge in late 2004 to give of my time and talents to help others in need. Through the years, I’ve made many friends and acquaintances. Some I’ve known for years while others are new. I never expected to need help myself.
I want to thank all my Moose Brothers and Sisters for your support, continued prayers, and well wishes. Words cannot express how overwhelming it was to realize how many wonderful, caring friends I have through membership in our Lodge. We may not always see eye to eye on some of the issues we deal with in our organization, but its wonderful to know that when one of us needs help we pull together to do what must be done.
Special thanks to those who gave personal donations above and beyond the price of the meal and to the LOOM for preparing and serving a wonderful dinner.
To my WOTM Sisters, your friendship, support and caring words have helped me to fight through my surgery, chemo, and will continue to get me through the radiation treatments yet to come.
What a wonderful group of people and organization to be a part of!!!
